Happy new year folks! Made any new year resolutions yet? I know some of you are probably pissed at the whole new year = new me routine. Let’s be honest what better time of the year is there to reinvent oneself?
It’s the fifth day of the year and I’ve been asking myself what I’d like to achieve/change/do this year. Still thinking. It’ll come to me as I write this post. 2014 held so so many lessons for me. I got to do some amazing things and build tighter bonds with awesome people.
2015: The year of self love
I’ve decided, my new year resolution is to practice “self love”. Most times in the course of our working 9 to 5
to stay alive or chasing our dreams, we neglect ourselves and things that are important to us.
If any of you reading this know me, then you’ll know I’m very hard on myself and very ambitious and in the process of achieving whatever goal I’m working towards, I tend to neglect myself
my hair, how I look, my friends and my love life. Usually by the time I get to the finish line, I’d have found something else to beat myself over or worry about.
I’ve decided that in 2015, I’ll stop being a worry boots, let go of the small stuff and LOVE myself more. I’ve realized self love will lead to self belief, dream actualization, a guilt free life, freedom,
and maybe an ego as big as Kanye’s.
May the year 2015 give you the opportunity to realize your dreams, rediscover your strengths, muster your willpower and rejoice in the simple pleasures that life brings your way. Have an amazing 2015 folks!
